Interesting stat of the day:
Blair Jones had 55 points in 56 games in the AHL in 2010-11.
Nice stat dude, looking at his numbers he's been pretty productive in the limited time playing.

...and 38 points in 38 games last year in the AHL.
He might be a gem for the Flyers this season.
Not sure about anyone else, but I was definitely shocked. I suspect Rosehill or Stortini will be brought up by the halfway point, though. Still, I like giving it a shot. Their pathetic 4th line was definitely a problem last year.
TSN says we are looking to move Schenn or Grossmann to make room for Morin
Move them both for Morin and Ghost. 2 big slow guys with decent cap hits for 1 big guys that can move and a little guy that's fast. My hope has been that Ghost could learn from Kimmo. While Ghost is a lot smaller, Kimmo made a career out of strong positional defense. This will be key for Ghost and he would have one of the best at that to learn from.
Agree 100%. Being able to trot out a legitimate 4th line is going to be big for the Flyers this year I think.
Also an underrated aspect, it allows them to carry an extra guy or two that can PK (Bellemare, Jones) and try to take Giroux off the PK unit.
Read/Couts and Bellemare/Jones/Raffl/Rinaldo
I think it would really help the team 5 on 5 if Giroux could stay off the PK unit.
Yep, I just checked the stats from last season and it looks like Giroux only averaged 0.93 minutes/game on the PK. I don't mind him seeing some PK time as long as it's on the 2nd unit and not the 1st. Hopefully they can keep him under a minute per game next year, too.
