Cool... We are close to round 2... I wanna thank everyone for being active, things are running pretty smooth...

No thanks to you guys for setting this up its a lot of fun seeing what the fans think! Good idea to reset the times at the end of the day as well so things can keep moving. Good job I know it pays well...haha!

Seattle buffing their trenches makes a lot of sense. They are a totally different team when their oline pushes people backwards

Yankey was a great pick for SEA...just scanning the 1st round...there were a couple of surprises much like the real draft but everyone seem to go need if they did venture off the big board.

I thought you made a bold move leaving Matthews on the board, but an excellent play taking the best WR in the draft and a potential QB of the future. That would actually make sense for STL.

So should we see what everybody thought of the 1st round...I would say can't pick your own team/s that you picked for but what was everybody's favorite pick? Surprising pick? I don't think we should do worst pick as that is just mean...

Surprising pick for me was St. Louis taking Bortles with already having Bradford but then again I think Bradford when healthy is a decent quarterback.

Best pick (not of my own) I would say the two Cowboys picks combined. They now have two great additions to the defensive line in Donald and Nix that both offer great pass and run support for that defense.

In real life, the Rams are probably going to trade down from #2 and stockpile a pick in next year's draft. If Bradford doesn't work out, they'll likely trade up for Winston or Mariota. In this mock draft, I didn't have that luxury but I lucked into a scenario where a QB fell.

The Browns getting Manziel and Lee couldn't have worked out better for them.

I definitely understand why you did it and think it was a great idea. Just was a bit surprised when you made the pick as I thought you were going to go a different way. I also though didn't see Bortles lasting that long as you are right he could become the 1st overall pick and best quarterback of this class. With the way rookie contracts are set up it is worth getting a player like that and keeping a top level quarterback on very low salary. It has worked out well for two other NFC West teams.

Most surprising pick for me was HaHa Dix at 11. Granted he was the best player at that position, but I thought the Titans would go offense with a top 11 pick.

Best picks was 2-fold. 1) Zach Martin at 19 for the Dolphins. This kid should play OLG and has pro bowl potential. 19 was a steal. 2) Justin Gilbert at 24 to the Bengals (bastards). Just because we knocked you outta the playoffs this year, you gotta steal my pick right be fore me... Imo, the best CB in the draft. Bigger, faster, better return man, and overall better than Dennard. 24th was a crazy steal.

Nix at 29 is probably the best value pick, imo. I would've considered him at 13 if I wasn't able to get Bortles.

Yep, great pick. I almost took him at 25. After Gilbert got snatched from me, it was totally btwn Nix and Van Noy. However, I figured Van Noy fits into Chargers defense perfectly. He can play OLB or DE; He fits perfectly into a 3-4 D; Him and Teo makes a pretty nice young LB core for us.

I thought it was a great move for DAL, but a little surprised to see NE trade out of the 1st rd with Wilfork's injury. He was high on our board, but we didn't see him as a 2 down player in PIT...more like a 1 down guy and we needed more snaps for the 15th slot.

What are the odds that Dallas is getting praise for their work in the draft? Maybe Jerry should hire this guy. Can't be any worse than what they have been getting.

Good pick by Houston in the 2nd. They would now have two very very good defensive players coming in.

Yeah, he'd probably only be a 2 down player with the Rams long term and the only reason he'd get 2 downs is that the Rams live in the Nickel and have 2 really good DEs. I could see him falling in the draft in real life.

Nice pick by the Texans. I thought about Ryan Shazier for the Broncos at 31 just wonder if he could handle the MLB spot. Just don't think he quite has the size to play the position like I would want. He would make a great WLB in a 4-3 though and fits nicely for Houston in adding even more to what could be the next loaded defense.
