Dri Archer is definitely an interesting pick. The guy fits the bill of teams looking for those unique weapons that can score from anywhere and in a multitude of ways. Size obviously is the major concern of how much can he really take the beating in the NFL but at the same time having a young quarterback there is nothing like having a guy that can make the job that much easier of being able to take a screen pass for a big touchdown.

round 5 is a crap shoot, you can't really complain about wasted picks at this point, if a player interests you pick him now, rather than compete for him in free agency.

The Jets would be the one team that could use a change of pace RB/WR
the new QB can't do it alone

Honestly, I think Geno is just as bad as Sanchez. Geno can scramble but thats about it

Yeah I have zero confidence in Geno to develop into a quality starter from what I saw last year. I realize he was just a rookie but even rookies usually have those moments that give you hope for the future and Geno just never did that.

Honestly, I think Sanchez is a better QB than Geno. Geno can scramble, though, but thats about it

Not sure how you can compare the 2 yet… Geno has only 1 year under his belt and so far… So to compare rookie seasons… The stats tell all:

Geno Smith: 16 GP / 3,046 yards passing / 55.8% CMP (247/443) / 21 INTs
Mark Sanchez: 15 GP / 2,444 yards / 53.8% CMP (196/334) / 20 INTs

Even though Smith played 1 more game… He is clearly the better QB judging by a rookie season, without even looking at rushing stats.

Yeah, I edited my statement. Sanchez is really bad.

Yea they are definitely nothing spectacular… But considering who Geno had to throw to, I would give him more credit. Hard to say though...

That pick makes no sense to me. So few kicks are returned now that the league has moved the ball seems a waste of a pick

In the last two years Dri Archer is on the ALL-MAC team for WR, RB, and KR.

Guys who are elusive and run 4.35 or so at the combine aren't bad picks in the mid-rounds, even if they seem undersized and played bad competition in college. See TY Hilton for one obvious example of a steal in a mid-round.

See Antonio Brown… 6th Round, 195th overall

I think you can roll craps in the 1st round and you can hit the jack pot in the 6th or 7th. Once you get past the top 125 or so players...look for football players that can work well in your system. The later the round the more risk you can take on athletes...guys that may not have had much success in college but they have the measureables.

The CB is SEA is a perfect example 5th rd maybe?...another Terrell Davis from UGA is another.

Yea...I would've backtrack on that one too.

Geno will never be a star, but he's not all about running either...I was actually impress with him in the pocket vs ATL but they had no pass rush either.

He might be a 2 contract QB in NY, but nothing special.

He hasn't shown enough to build a team around him yet. Id def want to bring in competition if I was the Jets
