True but I've heard a lot of people not liking him....

I think with him he is one of those guys that does everything right but doesn't completely jump off the page at you. The games I have watched of him he doesn't get himself out of position very often but he also doesn't make that wow play. Guys like Aaron Donald and Hageman have that athletic skill that they just wow you with how quickly they get into the backfield to make a play sometimes.

I do think however Jernigan is the most NFL ready of the DT's. He should be able to step in year one as a starter and be very solid for whatever team takes him. I could see him being a good guy in the middle for the next 10 years for whatever team drafts him. Not sure if he will ever develop into a pro bowl type talent though.

He seems like a Patriot type player. Very disciplined in his craft and can step in day one an play multiple positions for them. He helps improve both their pass rush and run defense. I agree probably best value pick of the draft so far.

DANG IT!! IF he made it much further into the draft I was definitely going to look into trading up for him for the Broncos. He is probably my 3rd favorite corner in this draft.

We had him as the #2 CB on our board, were pleased he was available at 46 actually.

If Nix were gone at 29, I'd have taken Jernigan, Ford or Fuller. To get Fuller where you did is a big time coup IMO

Thanks...Ike Taylor is more than likely going to be released. If so, this kid will get some time right away probably in the slot. I hope they land him for real.

We had him as the #2 CB on our board, were pleased he was available at 46 actually.

I had Dennard ahead of him and Gilbert pretty much tied with him. Only edge for Gilbert is he is a return man as well so he gives a team two positions. Gilbert to me I have a hard time with. He has all the physical skills you look for but in watching a few of his games players can easily get him to start twisting his hips and get out of position. In college his athleticism allowed him to cover up some of those mistakes but in the pros I don't know how that will go.

Can't believe Jernigan lasted this long. He's ranked in ESPN's top 10 overall.

He's battled a lot of injuries...is he's strictly a 4-3 DT, or can he play 3-4 DE...a bit on the short side maybe for a 3-4 DE.

I thought he might still go late 1st round.

We were a bit shy on a CB @ 15...both Dennard and Gilbert we liked, but we didn't think they were tons better than our 2nd round targets...Roberson & Fuller. I think CIN got good value with Gilbert @ 24.

How is Curtis Brown doing? He went to Gilmer HS, which was a district rival of the HS I attended. I always loved the way he played. Funny thing is, he might have been a better WR in HS than DB. Kid was a player

Odd not to have gkekoa around all day... I'm sure he knows he's on the clock today so we shouldn't be waiting too much longer.

Perfect reason for us to remember to leave a list if possible.

Yeah, the two most important things about doing these mocks is having patience and leaving a list!

C.Brown has largely been a flop...had all the measurables you want in the modern CB, looked great coming off the bus, but just could never stay healthy enough to put it all together. When he was passed over by Shamarko Thomas (a rookie S) for the dime sub pkg, that was the last of him in Tomlin's plans I think.

For the most part has been relegated to ST duty where he's played well. I'm not sure he'll make the squad this yr...the last on his rookie deal. Somebody will pick him up though.

I obviously don't have the same DB rankings as everyone else. My 3rd, 4th and 5th favorite CBs are still on the board along with the DB with the highest upside/bust probability

There is definitely a large gap between your opinion and everyone else's. I think DB might be the deepest position in the draft other than WR.
