2014-2015 Bowl Matchups for next 6-8 yrs

Matt's College Sports Media Blog: What the bowl picture looks like starting in '14-'15

As expected, the major bowl games will be:

ROSE: B1G #1 VS. PAC #1
SUGAR: SEC #1 VS. BIG 12 #1
ORANGE: ACC #1 VS. SEC #2/B1G #2/NOTRE DAME
FIESTA: AT LARGE VS. AT LARGE
COTTON: AT LARGE VS. AT LARGE
PEACH: AT LARGE VS. AT LARGE

Of course the Rose and Sugar will be semi-final games next year so I imagine their matchups will drop to the Cotton, Fiesta or Peach Bowls.

Thoughts on all of the matchups? I'll spare everyone and not list them all here.

I really like the Big12 being matched up in the Sugar Bowl.
The Fiesta Bowl was just never quite right.
It'll be like the old days when the Big8 went to the Orange.

I like the fact that the ACC dropped the AAC and added the Big 12 in the Russell Ath. Bowl and the SEC in the Belk Bowl.

The ACC is matched up against all of the major conferences in at least one bowl and I like that!

Having this many "BCS" games is an absolute joke. The whole system is a sham.
