The Bengals roll on and are the obvious contender to win the superbowl when one of the following happens and puts an end to it:

1. the rapture
2. WW3
3. meaningless player strike
4. zombie virus outbreak
5. Kramer becomes an optimist, thereby throwing off the karma of the universe, causing AJ Green to break his leg.
6. alien invasion
7. asteroid hits ohio

I'm not sure how Pittsburgh and Baltimore both miss the playoffs. I expect Baltimore to win the AFCNorth. Cincinnati is playing for the wildcard.

Well Pit missed the playoffs last season so them missing it again is not far fetched and Baltimore lost 8 starters from last season including their leading receiver, their leading sacker, both starting safeties, their starting middle LB and a starting CB. That is way too much turn over of their roster, not to mention their schedule. I'm not seeing it happen for them this season.

The Ravens got better at LB and S. Reed and Lewis are big names, but are not the players they used to be. They still have Ngata and a healthy Suggs. They added a beast of a sack artist in Dumervil, and drafted one of the best defensive players in the entire draft in Brown. They lost Boldin, yes, but other than the playoffs, he was just good, not great. Torrey Smith is their best WR. Rice and Pierce are both great. Flacco is inconsistent, but good better than Dalton. Webb is healthy and one of the better CBs in the league. They will be better than last year.

The thing that scares me about The Ravens is their offense finally coming together when they promoted Caldwell and dumped Cameron at the end of the season. Even with the loss of Boldin I think their offense will be better than last yr.

Suggs was coming off an Achilles tear in the spring and missed half the yr. Dumervil had 17 sacks his only season as an OLB in the 3-4 scheme. They could go from a below average pass rush to one of the best pass rushes in the leauge if Dumervil, Nagta, and Suggs are healthy.

The Steelers missed the playoffs, but they still had #1 defense in the league. Roethisberger's midseason injury was rough. I still see them as a legit playoff threat.

The Bengals had the best defense in the leauge at the end of the yr. On paper it looks even better now.

I see it as a three horse race. It cam definatley rival the NFCW as the most competitive division in the leauge

The Ravens have some nice young players on both sides of the ball and Flacco seems to be hitting his stride. I would imagine they'll be among the best teams in the league this year. That said, they do have a few unresolved issues on the o-line and even if Boldin wasn't their best receiver during the season he was easily the MVP of the postseason and they wouldn't have won the super bowl without him.

yea, lets not give the dolphins their due yet. Ravens and Steelers are always contenders, we still have Marv the shovel t-shirt guru as coach.

EXACTLY!!!!

We did not lose our sack leader, we lost Kruger who benefited with the return of T-Sizzle..Prior to T-Sizz returning, Kruger had 1.5 sacks in 7 weeks, enter T-Sizz and teams forgot about Kruger and he took advantage of it..You'll see this year, by week 4 Leaveland fans will be booing his ass.

So, now Kruger is replaced with Doom, gee I think we got better.

I have to agree that the loss of Kruger wouldn't worry me.

If the past is any indication, the next guy will be just as good.

Great post. They will also have a full year without Cam Cameron and as a result, you will see a much more consistent Flacco.

BTW...I can't believe how many of the old ESPN Bengal posters are still active on here. When was the migration...two years ago?

Impressive.

That is because it is not about the message board in which we are posting on. It is about the relationships we have built with each other, some good, some trying, but in the end, we are all Bengals fans that have created a bond with one another. We want to continue that relationship with one another about one of our passions, Cincinnati Bengals football, regardless of how bad we can be sometimes!! :)

yes, the migration was a few years ago, I tried to get more people to come, but kept getting banned, and I wasn't the first.

hopefully all the espn posters can find this place.

Exactly why we formed Extreme Ravens, the fun part is we actually have met up numerous of times, fun putting a face to a posters name. ER was created when the Ravens ESPN board was blown up after 8-Ball Jamal was arrested..

Best part was were invited out to the Ravens facility to interview for the "Official Message Board" of the Baltimore Ravens, after listening to their offer we met up and decided it was too much dictatorship from the NFL for our liking, had to monitored 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week, no articles could be posted from sources that were not affiliated with the NFL. When we looked at the whole picture for the money they offered, it just didnt meet our goals.

Funny, I was "cruising" the Bengals ESPN side, and ran into an old poster...Bonnie, I told her where you guys were living now, but havent seen her posting here. She had great insight for a female, well if she actually was a female.
