Dial sounds like the new RJF

Yes, that's what I was thinking too. And Dobbs really didn't help himself getting that dui. He'll be battling to stick on the roster now. I can imagine he got in the dog house big time.

I'm really happy about this draft. Reid and Lattimore are two of my favorites of this draft. I wished we could have drafted Da'Rick Rogers.

Would still love to see it happen.

I thought Brandon Jenkins would go a little earlier than that.

Schools with 8+ defensive players in one draft

Texas - 1984 - 10
LSU - 2013 - 8
USC - 2009 - 8
Miami (FL) - 1990 - 8
USC - 1986 - 8
Pittsburgh - 1981 - 8

At 18 Noone I would have sat back at 31 and if Reid went traded down. The only player I would have moved up for would Have been Sheldon Richardson or Ansah but at 18 they were both off the board. I think Reid will develop into a solid occasional pro bowl quality safety. Personally if Reid wasnt there at 31 trade back for an extra pick or two this year or next year to keep building through the draft like the Niners have been.

College football is my life in terms of what I do for work and fun. I cover the game in print and radio and I'm obsessed with the draft.

What radio channel/show Pozz?

I don't know there's another spot on the roster for a WR.

I think he could be our 3rd or 4th best WR by the end of OTA's, especially if Williams and MM won't be healthy. Long term, I like his (Rogers) prospects better than both.

Yes, but if you had the 18th pick & couldn't have traded it, whom would you have taken?

And you don't think a solid, occasional probowl safety is worth the 18th pick?

By the way, it's "no one."

Boone would be much better then any OT they draft. Niners drafted a couple of inside OT's last season that could easily fill in at G if needed.

We drafted interior lineman not tackles in the past years. We are extremely thin at tackle depth. If Staley or Davis get hurt, and then Boone goes down filling in we don't have anything.

It would be smart to get a highly versatile utility lineman this year with the extra picks.

Mayock compares Mike Gillislee to Stepfan Taylor. I don't like that comparison very much.

The Bears took Jordan Mills. What a lot of people will find interesting is that his cousin is Tramon Williams, who plays for the Packers. That'll be an interesting storyline for a little while. He was one of my favorite OL projects available this year. Naturally strong but a good athlete for 320. He needs technique refinement, though.

I'm gonna go get a chicken burrito at chipotle. Yum. I think I can make it back before the Niners pick Cornelius Washington. :)

If I had to take the pick Probably Reid. I like the player just not the trade Im not overly bummed by the trade it was just kind of meh. Not like the year I wanted to break my tv when the Niners traded up had Earl Thomas sitting there waiting to be a Niner and we took Anthony Davis..... And in retrospect the Anthony Davis pick came good...
