Agree on Cyprien, but not sure what you have against Lacy. He had a first round grade in many draft rankings, and he's perfect for our division with his powerful, slashing style. Cyprien would still be my first choice, but Lacy would do just fine, too, imo.

In desperate need of a S, so I would be a fan of Cyprien. Although I am not as bearish on Lacy as you. I think he would work out just fine, we have virtually no run game currently, and I don't think a 2nd round pick is overvaluing him.

There's still like 5 or 6 RB's that would be better than Bernard f'n scott, even if we don't pick Lacy.
no one appears to be reaching for them yet, we can't neglect rb altogether, the Bengals have to see that BJGE is not the freaking answer, but you're right, we can't neglect Safety today, given the right opportunity. Otherwise we will be giving up monster plays all the time.

I guess I would be happy with either pick.

Lacy is a stud. I think he'd have the most impact simply because he'd keep BJGE off the field. You don't draft a guy like that as a change of pace. He's a 'bellcow'. Reminisenct of Frank Gore. Offense instantly better...BJGE is not a good RB.

Lacy has injury concerns, workout concerns, isnt a change of pace back we need, is too slow to break away, can't block, can't catch. He is essentially a slightly more talented BJGE. We need Franklin, Gio, Randle or Ellington.

Lacy was made, as Mark Ingrim was, by that offensive line at Alabama. Anyone else notice that every Alabama running back has injuries when he enters the NFL? Ingrim, then Richardson now Lacy.

Ingram needs more carries. its stupid to use him the way the saints do. he's not a change of pace guy either. type that gets better as the game goes along and gets more touches.

We don't need someone that is the exact type of player BJGE is. Waste of a pick.

gio has injury concerns. i like franklin but hes not nearly as good as lacy imo. Randle I like a lot. If they go Cyprien and get gio or franklin with the 2nd pick I'd say thats an awesome round 2. But i do see Lacy as a Gore type which would be perfect for afcn. plus it would keep bjge off the field.

I don't think it's a perfect fit for the AFC North anymore. This is a passing division, we run a west coast, we need a RB who has speed and can catch.

Lacy is VASTLY overrated. I wouldn't touch him before the 3rd. He has 2 top 11 players blocking in front of him and another guy who would have been a high 2nd round pick if not for an injury.

time will tell. Im not going to hold his line againt him. I see an extremely powerful individual that is also quick and finishes runs. Christine Michael without the baggage and w better instincts/more passion

He isn't that quick and he def isn't fast. He won't be able to just run people over in the NFL.

When healthy he's a beast. So what do you think would have more impact: Lacy taking over for BJGE as the every down back or Gio in the Scott role?

1. Even if we take Lacy he isn't taking BJGE spot over. Not gonna happen, you know that.

2. I think Gio or Franklin will have a bigger impsct on this team by far than Lacy.

If they draft Lacy and don't give him the bulk of carries that just retarted. Similar to NO with Ingram. Plus, I think it will be painfully obvious that Lacy is superior. BJGE may be tenured in as the starter, but I bet by mid season Lacy is the man.
