Another solid win from the 2013 edition of the Red Sox. I would love to know what was going through Farrell's head when he let Aceves come out in the 6th inning....it was pretty clear to me he was done at the end of 5 and was lucky to escape the bases loaded jam without giving up runs. Who knows....I am sure not going to question a guy who has our starting pitching going from worst to first. Heroes of last night's game: Carp 3 extra base hits!, Shane V continues to amaze me, and although Naps left a lot of guys stranded he is in top 5 of AL in RBIs....many of Ben C's pickups looking pretty solid. Go Sawx! Let's hope Lester continues his sharp ways tonight.

He was hoping for one more inning because Doubront only wnet five the day before (which doesn't make sence, becuase they only used Mort and Wilson)... They are lucky Tazawa only needed 10 pitches toget three outs - then struck-out the side in the 6th....

Anyway, we knew their pen was their stregth and so-far-so-good!

You guys think we can keep rollin with Aceves on the back end??

Would much prefer to have him as a long reliever, but can't deny his value as a swing guy.

Least we got a manager who knows pitchers.. leads to a little less worry

Aceves is proving his versatility... It at least gives Lackey time to heal.

I suspect they are building up his value. Once Lackey and Morales are back, they may try to trade him (as long as Lackey proves he can still pitch)...

Red Sox really are coming together as a team and it is showing with how well they are playing on the field. Also how well they are coming together. Starting pitching has been great. But sadly I am expecting a fall... What say you?
