:bump:

Playoffs start and the deadline for submission ends in 1 hour. So if you want to get a bracket in, get it in now or never. Good luck! :suds:

Yep, got it, Southie.

The playoffs have begun, the deadline has passed, and submissions are now CLOSED. Good luck to everyone! :suds:

Some statistics for fun: There were a total of 32 submissions. Aggregate Super Bowl champion predictions:

15 - Denver Broncos
10 - Seattle Seahawks
4 - New England
3 - San Francisco

No other team besides the above 4 was selected by anyone to win the Super Bowl. That's a lot of confidence in just 4 teams! :noidea:

I don't consider my predictions very strong. Nobody else's are either.
Any team could win - any team could lose (11 teams will)

I'm just surprised at the lack of homer picks from fans of the other 8 teams. :noidea:

I HAVE BALLS UNLIKE SOME OF YOU

Just bc you pick upsets doesn't mean you have balls. You pick the team you think will win the game.

A perfect bracket should look like this thus far:

Perfect Bracket said:
(A) San Francisco
(B) New Orleans
(C) Indianapolis
(D) San Diego

Out of 32 submissions, NO ONE picked all 4 games correctly. After just 1 round, NO ONE has a perfect bracket.

I have a scoring question bus. For those of us that picked the bengals in C and the colts in D do we get zero points since the chargers won, pushing the colts to C?

That's correct, no points.

Sorry, man; in retrospect, I actually think you do deserve credit for picking the Colts, but I gotta stick with the rules as they are written (which emphasize that the slots have to be exactly correct) especially as some canny players might even have adjusted their picks based on the probability of one wildcard game affecting another.

Next season, though, if I run a playoff pick 'em again, I'm going to change the rules to instead group slots for each round so that you get credit for any teams correctly picked in the round rather than having to slot the team exactly, since I don't want people to lose credit for one game because of the result of another game in the same round.

Wish I just would of known before, I saw everyone had their bracket like that and then the example was different. It doesn't make much sense, but whatever.

(C) Indianapolis
(D) San Diego
(E) San Francisco
(F) Seattle
(G) New England
(H) Denver

Interestingly enough, those 4 teams are exactly those who made it to the Conference Championships, so everyone who submitted still has a chance to have picked the Super Bowl winner. :suds:

It is strange. I thought I picked Denver but I picked Seattle to win the Super Bowl. Not sure why I did that. Oh well.
