since we actually have a better basketball team than football team this year.

strong start to the year, we scored 116 points in our win over Texas-Arlington, 2nd most in school history

apparently they won 19 games and made the CIT last year, so I guess we can be a little happy about this win, it wasn't over the crappiest team possible

The BB team keeps getting better. we have a lot of the starters back from last year should be a good season for us.

not the time to get our hopes that high

but I do want to advance in the tournament this year

The Broncos have all 5 starters coming back this year. We should do well this year and advance atleast to the second round

Yes we will sir, going to be exciting, Kentucky isn't unbeatable either

the other big nonconference games we have are Utah who is unbeaten but hasn't played anyone yet

and Saint Mary's who is also unbeaten with some better wins

We only got a few votes in the USA and AP poll. Not in top 25 yet,but we haven't played any real good teams either. I think Idaho will be our toughest test so far. They always seem to give us a good game.

Tied our best start in school history

we did that a few years ago, but we will definitely be better than that team.

First cause of concern this year though is that we let Idaho back in that game a few days ago

and our offense put in its lowest output of the year against Portland State

at least it gives Rice something to work on before we have our tougher games

They are not playing well as a team, and you are spot on about the better of the Rices. I am not sure what the problem with UNLV is exactly, but you can definitely pick on the coaching, particularly in close games with less than a minutes to go. Horrible half court offense plays, and free throw shooting.

The team held tough in the first half, but slid in the second for a 70 to 55 loss. They showed a lot of promise on the road.

kinda slipped with those two losses

that Kentucky game was a disappointment, we had a lot of 3 pointers that just didn't fall that game.

Diamond head classic is big for us, if we can win it, would certainly help our at-large chances.

I'd say we're off to a good start, we did struggle with Hawai'i but right now putting on a show blowout out Frank Martin's South Carolina team by 30 at the moment
