The recruiting process is and always will be the phantom poop of college football.
You sit down...take a shit (put up your big board, offer schollies & what not), do all the hard work....wipe your ass (host recruits/vist recruits)...get up & get ready to flush (signing day)...and there's no turd to be found.
DAMN YOU PHANTOM POOP!
Under Carroll, Southern Cal recruited similarly. They'd barely be in the Top 25 until signing day, and then they jump into the Top 10 overall.
NU ain't sunny SoCal tho..
This one hurts guys.
Which one Iese?
Cross has forgone his trip to virginia. Nebraska will be his last trip.
He took a trip to Kentucky mid week and nearly committed on the spot there. Still he wants to see Nebraska and then he'll make his decision. Obviously everything here is going to make Kentucky's program look like a corugated metal shack.
Another big factor will be Ron Brown as Cross is considering joining the ministry after college and he has connected with RB.
Quote I liked from the LJS- "Some Husker fans complain that we're reaching and not getting guys they really want, but I think if Husker fans just wait a little bit longer they'll realize that we got a really good class," Rose said. "I don't think the stars or ratings will matter. ... You bring in a two-star, he's going to come out a four or five-star product. That's all that matters. It's not what comes in, it's what comes out."
Life in the Red's Blog | Rose enthusiastic about this Husker class
