So I've talked to a few people who know a few things, and I've heard from literally everyone that I've talked to, that despite being rated a 3-star by recruiting services, Alonzo Moore is easily a 4-star prospect..........and in fact, some say he is on the upper-end of being a 4-star.

One person told me that if he seriously is a 3-star prospect, then he is the best 3-star prospect of 2012.

Doth the Huskers snag this one?

Scout only rates him a 2 star.

Maybe the stars are but the rankings aint. As a whole they have been a very good barometer for a player and a recruiting class.

Seriously go look up each player from the starting lineup of LSU and Alabama on rivals and with the exception of one or two, every player is ranked in the top 10 at their position and every player is a 4 or 5 star.

Doesn't it almost seem like LSU and Alabama just have smarter players than most teams though too?

For some reason I think that is a huge reflection of the coaching that they are getting in practice.

'11 - 1st
'12 - 1st

I wonder why they're the best College football team in the nation and have won 2 out of the last 3 national championships? hmmmmmmmm...

Let's compare that to Nebraska from '07 - '12 right now...

'07 - 13th
'08 - 30th
'09 - 28th
'10 - 22nd
'11 - 15th
'12 - 37th

I wonder why Nebraska has gotten blown out every other game and hasn't won jack shit? Hmmmmmmm...

No doubt JJM the coaching is excellent. Alabama had no turnovers, one penalty and zero return yards allowed.

Compare that with Nebraska's performance in the Cap one bowl

nah... that is part of the very issue here brasky... kids nowadays think they are stars and should start right away without paying their dues or working their way into the mix.

It has been and always will be.. those who put forth the extra effort and push themselves further than they thought they could be pushed will rise to the top... Rex is a prime example of someone with a great work ethic who knew his time would come...

But yea, Alabama played that National Title game damn near to perfection.

They may not have the kicking game that we have, but they play assignment football about as good as any team I've seen in the past decade.

That defense is simply outstanding.
