he popped in my head for a salo replacement. Im not sure what his health status is or his salary demands but that position (him or Salo) can only be $2M.

i bet he doesnt hate anonymity that much lol

Word out of Buffalo is that the Sabres may be looking to re-sign Connolly, so he may come off the list.

Hopefully not though. I don't want him anymore.

Boss, I wouldn't mind him staying for somewhere in the $3-3.5 million range.

He's a good 3rd line center who has a huge utility in our PK unit.

Also, at $3-3.5 million he is coming at a relative bargain comparative to other centers with comparable production numbers over the past few years.

Unless we pick up a substantially better center in the off season then I think it would be in our best interest to try to sign him.

Would be an improvement over the ridiculous $4.5M he got on his last deal, but still too much, IMO.

I know he's had injury troubles, but has never broken 20 goals - ever - in his career. And those injuries make planning a team a big challenge because you can never count on him to not be hurt.

He gives the puck away far too much, especially on the PP and he's mediocre on face offs.
