I've often thought the NHL's regular season was somewhat meaningless. Let's take that leap to completely meaningless!
If anything, I wish there were fewer playoff teams and a prolonged 6-month season actually determined the elite teams, rather than including so many mediocre squads, especially in a sport so prone to random and unpredictable playoff results.
lol, seriously. Why even have a regular season??? Just start with the playoffs.
I like it the way it is.
Agreed.
Flames planning to drop from 9th to 11h in the Western Conference just to put me even closer into an early grave.
lol, I think my Sharkies are on the downward slope now, so we can argue over who deserves that 10th seed!!!
leave it as it is. man its good now. adding more teams is just a money grab that is all. I dont want it not one bit
Yup.
No way would I want the playoffs extending any longer. All that would do is create another lockout in however many years because of the extra playoff revenue that everyone feels entitled to.
I think they should go back to the old division names and contract a few teams.
Agreed, but especially with the bold. In my perfect world (that will NEVER happen, lol), they'd contract about 6 teams and then have two conferences of 12 and only 8 playoff teams.
Its perfect now, both in number of teams and in structure. That means it will probably be changed.
lol, yup.
