I've often thought the NHL's regular season was somewhat meaningless. Let's take that leap to completely meaningless!
If anything, I wish there were fewer playoff teams.

If anything, I wish there were fewer playoff teams and a prolonged 6-month season actually determined the elite teams, rather than including so many mediocre squads, especially in a sport so prone to random and unpredictable playoff results.
As a fan of SPORTS, thats just way to fucking many. over half the league making the playoffs is already pushing it.
I think it's all just a conspiracy to finally get the Leafs back in the playoffs.
in exchange for their increased revenue sharing commitments in the new CBA, of course
Flames planning to drop from 9th to 11h in the Western Conference just to put me even closer into an early grave.
20 is too much. It's fine the way it is. If anything, maybe drop it to 6 per conference.
Not sure that I'd want to be on a team that gets a 1st round 'bye': Could get a bit 'out of the grove' after so much time off.
