As a Sharks fan, this matchup makes me a little nervous, but so do any potential first round matchups. I do think the Sharks can take it to the Kings physically. I think Quick needs to be real good to steal this series, especially if Seto and Clowe are healthy for the playoffs.

Also, Ill be in Staples for either game 3 or 4 making a scene!! Hopefully Kings fans are nicer than Dodger fans!!

LETS GO SHARKSSS!!!

With the Kings goalies struggling and missing their top two scorers missing I don't like our chances.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the first time the Sharks and Kings have met in a playoff series? History indeed will be made.

For an out of market match-up I'm excited about this one. Pretty sure it's going to be a good one and take 6 game and 3-4 OT's to get a winner.

I don't think the Kings have the offense to keep up with the Sharks in this one.

Good luck Dav, (and Hawaii when he gets here). Kings are always a team I sort of pull for when they are not playing the Sharks. Kings play hard, and real good team D. Quick could steal some games. I think the Kings have to keep the games low scoring to have a good chance, if the Sharks can score, then I like our chances.

Is Justin Williams going to be back at all?

Good luck to you guys as well.. once again we have to rely on our defense to get us through. Its going to come down to Quick. I hope he's ready for this, if not I'm sure Bernier would be more than willing to step up and stand on his head.

Interesting that this is Lombardi's two teams. I just hope LA puts up a fight and makes this a series. In reality I think its going to come down to the top to teams in the west for the conference finals.

Williams has been cleared to practice. Its up to him if he wants to play in game 1. (via Hammond twitter)

Williams is now day to day. It seems they are trying to embarrass him into playing.
From kings staff writter
Williams cleared to practice LA Kings Insider
In a phone interview, Terry Murray said Justin Williams got the “green light” from doctors last night and will be able to participate in practice tomorrow. Assuming all goes well in the next couple days of practice, the decision would be in Williams’ hands as to whether he wants to play with his still-recovering shoulder, which won’t be 100 percent until the offseason. More on this, and Murray’s thoughts on the first-round series, to come…

It's really too bad Kopitar is out. This should still be a good series. Even if Williams comes back the Sharks have too much firepower. Oh yeah I almost forgot they've got a Stanley Cup winning goalie as well.
