Yeah exactly. No guarantee the Spurs hit a game tying 3 if Russ makes both free throws anyway.

Refs had missed calls as they always do but none were game changing IMO.
Who says he hits the free throws? Why would the spurs take a 3? They would probably have gone for the quick 2 and foul. It ruined the game.

Non-continuation and a travel all in one sequence. Amazing game, but yet again a sour taste at the end because of these WNBA refs.

Remember when Spurs blow OKC out in game 1 and everyone loses their minds?

Who says the Spurs make a quick 2? Lose two games at home. Look at yourself in the mirror.

Spurs had a 6 point lead at the 4 minute mark. They then allowed OKC to run off 8 in a row over the next 2+ minutes. The blaming the refs crap is lame especially when you gave the game away

it wasn't the referees.

It was the lack of referees when everyone just assumed there was referees.
There was an expectation of a whistle twice in the 4th quarter and everyone but Westbrook stopped playing twice.

9 of the 10 players on the floor and 18,000 in the stands assumed the game stopped twice.

Only one person in the entire arena kept playing.
Even the other Thunder players were walking towards the sidelines expecting clock stoppage on those two plays.

Those 5 points made the difference.
It was very surreal...but it was fair I suppose.

This was a case where WESTBROOK being an out of control whirling dervish going at 150 mph helped.
99.999% of the entire league would have stopped. But, he actually probably cannot stop.

That is a continuation in every NBA game.

Are we really complaining about a travel call? Do you know how many travels are missed in every game?

There's a reason why in sports like basketball and football, they say play until you hear a whistle

But, win game 6 and all is forgiven.

I don't think it will be easy for either team.

The SPURS have just as much chance to win the next game as OKC.

So we're just going to ignore the fact that the Spurs had a 6 point lead late in the 4th and failed to score for about 3 minutes? That's cute

Bingo so let the players decide the game. In all sports the NBA is the most controlled by the calls. Lets the players decide the game make the right call. That last sequence shows what the NBA is all about. umm durant is a big martet seller so help him.

The Spurs are done. They are too old and slow for the Thunder. The are just getting killed on the boards.
I bet they make a big run for Durant next year; that will put them back on top.

The one I saw OKC had clear possession on the miss and the refs let them go on the fast break. Players need to play to the whistle and not the horn. That was the right call. Refs shouldn't just blow a whistle because the players don't understand the rules.

But as a bitter piston fan I can be happy the spurs lost.

If you think the NBA is scripted, why are you watching? I really don't get that logic.

Trust me if the NBA was scripted, the Lakers and Knicks would be in the playoffs every year.

Exactly. Usually once the opposing teams has clear possession then they let them play on. If there is no clear possession/advantage then they would blow their whistle and call a 24 second violation.
