How the fuck can a Bruins vs Caps playoff game be as boring as that???!!!

I thought it was a good game. Teams were getting chances, but LOTS of shot blocking/sacrifice from both squads and great goaltending. I like how much character the Caps' showed tonight.

I'm not sharp enough to make this call, but do you think that the Caps intentionally focused more on the defensive effort to help out Holtby? I mean, they did have 22 blocks and there was a large differential in the SOG through 2.

I don't think so. They've been focusing more on it all year - blocking more shots, tightening down. It's just Dale Hunter hockey, which is sadly, not the best fit for this team.

Nah, I don't think so as far as sacrificing for offense. But when the puck was in their zone, they might have made a bit more of a conscious effort to get in shooting lanes.
