Yeah, another note of interest. Since Wideman joined the team (late last season), I can't remember a time where Green, Wideman, Ovechkin, Backstrom, and Semin were all healthy and all in the lineup until the last 4 games of this season. They won 3 of those 4 including both against top seeds like the Rangers and Panthers. Encouraging...

What is the percentage on teams that win the regular season series also winning the playoff series? I feel like it's generally a good indicator and I think has been reliable about 3/4 of the time in the past 2-3 years.

Playoff hockey is definitely a different animal. And yes, match-ups mean a lot as well. But for the most part, I think stats are pointless after the 82nd game.
