Ftr...Willie was one of my favorite players while I was growing up back in Queens NY, even though he was with SF.
As you all know, he ended his career with my local team, the Mets in '73. (the same year I graduated from HS)
My dad was a huge NY Giants fan back in the day, and he loathed the Brooklyn Dodgers...but I had family in Brooklyn who were loyal to that team from Flatbush.
