Dunno how I'll deal with that...

Ah well. Heading back to the good ol' U.S of A. tomorrow. Africa has been interesting, but can't wait to get back home...
I'm sure you'll somehow overcome. The Rangers won 5-1 yesterday, maybe you should stay over there and not jinx it.

Dude sure likes to put his body on the line and take charges in the paint that's for sure.
Plus he can still drain those 3's.
Isn't he retiring after this season?
Hadn't heard he wants to retire...guessing he wanted to play this season to get one more deal but who knows?

Maybe in a few years this could be the best starting 5 in the NBA but depth has been a problem all year, shooting has been a problem all year. Their depth is very lackluster. Two big things they need address in the offseason.
And we should be able to.....the type of guys we need can be acquired with the exceptions we have available or maybe a small deal.

I dont think you pay LeVert the 20 million a year he will want.

Cavs could have some flexibility with Love gone, and LeVert off the books---- though the Rubio and Wade signings limited that a little bit.
Cannot imagine we will have much more in space than we'd have by just using the MLE if we keep Levert.

My guess is we keep him. I'd liken it to the JR situation when he was a FA. We can sign him or no one (at that price). And if memory serves we paid JR $16 mil per and that was 5-6 years ago. I could see paying Levert the same or maybe up to $20 mil if they think he's a good fit (and I do think they believe he is).

How you think the Cavs will do game three?

They looked great game two.

And would rather forget about game one.

The Rubio looked great at the time but that dude is washed. LeVert is still inconsistent and not worth that money. Probably need to pull off some trades and then use their MLE carefully. They have a lot of needs for their bench. They need a reliable big, PG (if they replace Rubio) and just more consistent shooting or guys that can make plays. LaVert is a playmaker and really good defender so we will see.
Levert is inconsistent and I don't expect him to play many games like he did Game 2 but the last 2-3 months of the season he played exactly how we'd want. We could keep him AND use the MLE as well as other deals.

I've heard many say it's the 2nd year a player returns to his form after the injury Rubio had......but I don't know and he just might not be the best fit anymore now that we have Mitchell and Levert is playing better (most nights).

Cavs are doing much better with their rotations this game. They have done a great job cutting off the lane thus far.

A LOOOOOOT of half court offense for the Cavs though. Not many easy buckets at all. Each team on pace for more than 30 3's attempted......
Play D like we did in game 2 and we can beat anyone.

No idea why Randle was still in this game, Allen either for that matter
I agree......though like what JB said when asked about the play.

Pretty much said their guys in were still playing hard, overplaying, getting steals. Cannot have one team playing hard and we just let them. But, again, agree he should not have been in.

same as I thought game 1 would go....no frickin clue.

will say game 1 sucks but has been a tad overblown by fans/media. Idea the bigs were soft was kooky talk. I mean, Mobley/Allen had 25 rebounds, 7 of them on offense. I'd take that every night. Allen his usual efficient shooting (6-8). Issue was Mobley missed some easy oines he usually makes and the rebound issue was the players not named Mobley and Allen (who did a much better job rebounding in game 2).

Gotta say too.....Everyone thinks Mitchell is just this pure scorer.

To see him put up 13 assists tonight- and the Cavs to win big when he only took 11 shots means a lot. It means he is turning into a different type of player and a more versatile player.

Dont get me wrong- I love 40 point Mitchell- but its pretty cool to see 13 assist Mitchell. I feel he would not have trusted his teammates that much in Utah.

Mitchell is playing hard on defense, but hes never going to be an A defender- but its great to see him majorly effect a game in a way other than scoring- I am not sure people in the national media thought that was possible for him.

Its gonna be a fun series- have no clue if the Cavs will win or not--- but this is a good young fun team that is going to be around.

(and looking WAAAAAAAAAAAAY to far ahead)---AND if........If Giannis is not really healthy---- IF IF IF the Cavs get past the Knicks and the HEat win---- that will be a helluva series to get to the ECF.....and Ithink the Cavs matchup with Boston better than almost any other team in the NBA.
so true about Mitchell. Maybe some saw it differently, but really seemed like a blunder by Thibs. Game 1 they blitzed garland to take the ball out of his hands. Game 2 they did it much more to Mitchell and he made them pay as you mentioned by taking what was given to him.

Not really sure why they did this as their strategy worked in game 1. I guess Mitchell had 38 but he needed 30 shots to get it.

If they can play the rest of series like they did in game two things will be fine.

I like to think of it as having full possession of my facilities. You can frame it however you like...

'sides, alcohol tastes shitty...
man, so true. There is some I like but not any I can think of I like straight. Beer kind of gross, too. Wish I felt differently as it looks really good. Always told an acquired taste and tried but never acquired....and to be fair didn't take me long as I cannot be peer pressured.

Besides, though few will admit it, I doubt many like the taste of beer. I know any time I help clean up after a party/get together I end up throwing away a number of near full cups/cans.

Dolan was very wise to not trade for Mitchell.

Well the Knicks loss is the Cavs big gain.
