Flop for a foul…

T lance not only promotes this kind of behavior, he teaches it to his kids.

And none of ya’s had a problem with it so why post this?
I always had a problem with it but it’s constantly. That is the issue. Harden did it quite a bit. Trae too but what Brunson doing is just pathetic. Play the game

I don’t love watching it either.

But you aren’t a smart competitor if you aren’t trying to use every advantage you have to get ahead within the rules.

Guy talks about all Brunson’s “talent”.

He is 6 foot nothing. Not fast or explosive by NBA standards. He flat out does not have NBA athleticism.

Brunson is who he is as a player because of his hard work developing an amazing skill set AND his crafty play. It is a large part of what makes him so effective.

While I don’t particularly enjoy watching guys who play like he does, you simply have to appreciate players like Brunson who make the absolute most of the talent that they have.

And if you tell me he gets there any other way?

Sorry, but you are wrong.

He pulled it off twice in the closing minutes but tried it damn near every time down the court. To me you just legislate it out of the game. If you lean in as the offensive player on a 3 it's not a foul.

Hart does it too. He’s just not the player or the actor Brunson is.

Which is fine. I respect what they both do. As gay as it is.

He’s a scapper.

Which isn’t a putdown.

Brilliant player. Makes use of everything he can give. That’s rare.

It is tough

I do agree with what you are saying for the most part.

The tricky thing is that the way the rules are written, the offensive player can’t lean in and create contact to draw a foul if the defender is in legal guarding position.

While I would not mind seeing the rules change here, defenders have to be better.

Every one of those 4th quarter calls were because the defender was out of position and lunging at Brunson’s shot fake.

Keep your feet and make him make that step back 3 over your contest. Do not jump or lunge toward him and let him draw the foul.

He gets people out of position everywhere on the court. Harden was good at it, but Brunson does it when not even threatening to score.

It’s really impressive.

Harden blows dick now fwiw. Fat fucking rich guy that’s old.

FT ledger for this game.
Pistons -- 28 for 34
Knicks -- 16 for 19

Nuff said.

Final 100-94 Detroit....series tied 1-1.

Knicks better steal 1 of the 2 games in Motown later this week.
Gm 3 is Thursday.

Detroit led pretty much the entire game. Weak shit

I'd have to re-watch the plays but on some it felt the defender jumped straight up. They are entitled to their space as well even if he gets them in the air. I could be wrong, I just hate seeing this weak shit. But to his credit, it is effective.

The 2 I can think of from the 4th quarter (1 Harris and 1 on Thompson) the defender was definitely moving toward Brunson.

Has to be job 1 in the Brunson scout. Don’t get out of position and let him get the foul.

There was another play early in the 3rd where Thompson jumped straight up, Brunson leaned in and he did not get the call.

The thing about those plays too…

The refs are always going to see the contact because Brunson is making it obvious. They have no choice but to blow the whistle if the defender is out of position.

Just watched the last one, Tobias makes a step towards him and Brunson just runs into him. That shit is weak. No effort at an actual shot attempt.
