Never said won the natty but goes on to the conversation, back before 98 there were not actual title games, so the conversation went on.

Are you new to CFB?

Pre-BCS years where both were outside the top5 going back to 1960.

1996
1992
1991
1990
1989
1988
1981
1977
1969
1968
1966
1964
1962
1961
1960

15 times in 37 years they were not in the conversation. A far cry from the 1% you claimed. Are you new to CFB?

We played on Thursdays when it was a national event type game and still a big deal. Now you couldn't make us play a home game on a Thursday and you would get shot in the state of Alabama if you tried to schedule a Friday game and interfered with High School football.

Auburn - Kentucky is a "national event type game"?

This game may be overshadowed by other HS football games.

Its disappointing that this is where the PAC 12’s current place in cfb has landed. Best chance at eyeballs on one of the conferences front runners on a Friday.

ACC is kind of in the same boat.

I'd say that a "series" doesn't make a rivalry.
A rivalry is something where each teams has fucked over the other teams chances at a Championship multiple times over generations.

Not sure I ever saw that happen with Nebraska/Colorado.
So, it's just a "series"

I think that 5th down game was the only one I recall pertaining to that scenario.

Thought I'd bring it up since we're in scenario village 2019.

Either you don't read very well, or you just like moving goalposts.
You're using Final Polls.
His point was one or both were in the NC conversation at some point during the season.
Obviously the loser of OU/NU was going to drop. If they lost their bowl they were going to drop again.

If you go by being in the NC conversation at some point during the season?

Highest AP Ranking

1996: Nebraska #1.
1992: Neither Top 5
1991: Oklahoma #5
1990: Nebraska #3, Oklahoma #4
1989: Nebraska #3,
1988: Nebraska #2, Oklahoma #3
1981: Nebraska #4, Oklahoma #2
1977: Oklahoma #1
1969: Neither Top 5
1968: Oklahoma #4
1966: Nebraska #3
1964: Nebraska #4, Oklahoma #2
1962: Neither Top 5
1961: Neither Top 5
1960: Neither Top 5

So just 5 of the 37 pre-BCS years did not have either Nebraska or Oklahoma in the NC conversation.

This is fun. Let's do Oregon.

The 5th down game was Colorado/Missouri.

LOL, why would anyone care if OU/NU was ranked in the top 5 the first few weeks of the season? Gameday rankings are meaningless.

You're going backwards, stupid.

You're now implying those rankings were all just "the first few weeks of the season"?

You're flaming idiocy is not worth going through every year to determine what each were ranked in each week, just to shove it straight up your ass as usual.

Are you trying to convince the forum that 1) Alabama, 2) Clemson, 3) Ohio St, 4) Georgia, 5) LSU are not part of the NC discussion right now?

That's using your goalposts criteria of Top 5 and omitting 6) Oklahoma who many also have in their NC discussion.

Die on the hill, ducky. I don't give a shit.

There is no meaningful NC discussion until at LEAST the CFP rankings are announced. Even then, it's completely meaningless until the final rankings.

Fucking Mike Riley beat the Ducks at Nebraska. Wrap your head around that.

Like I said.

Die on the hill, dumbass.
