I can't speak for anyone else but I've been a Minnesota Vikings fan for 40+ years and I root for no other team. Real fans don't have 2 favorite teams in the same sport, if you do you're a fan of the sport not of a team. No offense intended of course.. lolzzz

I think all of that is true. (Well, the second part. The first part I take your word for. Lol.)

I 100% am a Lions fan because of football. Not a football fan because of the Lions. And Inreally don't think that's because they're one of the worst franchises in all of sports. I really couldn't care more about an NFL team. I just could be happier about doing it.

Agreed... I think that's the biggest thing to understand... Being a fan of a team is very different from being a fan of the sport...

I don't think anything is wrong with it, I just loved the raiders when I first began watching... Then things like pushing Allen out, hire and fire coach after coach... Selecting the wrong players year after year and being wrong about it... It gets to a point when I said I'm done watching until Davis sells, allows someone else to run the show, or dies... He died like 10years later... I've been slowly getting back into it... Not sure if it will ever be a priority again...
