with a missed call.

Fraser: The anniversary of you-know-what for Leaf fans

it was only game 6 but we know what happened. Gretzky should have been ejected in that game ( the rule back then was you draw blood you are OUT)

Gretzky scored the Winner I believe in that game. Leafs win they would have played the Canadiens.

Its interesting to hear Fraser's side of it. I still think it was just an ignored call not a missed call.

Best call in the history of sports.

Ok even I can say it was a missed call.
For those of you who aren't Kings Leafs fans

One of the best series I have ever seen.
It had hatred, fights, fans sending donuts to coaches, great play and controversy on several calls. I have game six saved on my dvr for days when there is nothing on.

i had a cousin who was the biggest Gretzky fan and became a kings fan after the trade and the thing i remember from that missed call was going over to his house a couple of days after and him breaking down the replay on his VCR (he had poor tracking just like the video in post #3 - lol) and he kept trying to convince me that Gilmores cut under his chin was the result of him hitting the ice hard face first ON PURPOSE lmao

The crime of the century!!!!!

Well not really, but still sucks all these years later. When this gets brought up in convos today, I always point out that the Kings might have gone on to win anyway, even if Wayne was out of the game. Still though, Kerry clearly let him get away with the call and watched him score the game winner.

Now if we had shown some balls in Game 7 we wouldn't even be talking about this. Sure, we would be more if the Kings hadn't gotten owned in the Finals by the Habs. A lot of Leafs fans claimed we would have rolled over Montreal for the Cup that year, but I doubt that. 10 OT wins showed the Habs were the team of destiny in 1993 and would have beaten us as well.

I guess all we Leafs fans can do is wonder what if, as the years without a Cup keep rolling by.

Doug Gilmour was a grown ass man, and Pat Quinn's stache is the greatest.
