Exactly, we will be working with a little more. We can still sign a few players. This will be a multi year process. We can't replace everyone..

you are exactly right sparks . you sign the best quality guys in FA and draft the best guys this year , see what holes are filled and address them the following year

I would keep Polumbus and get rid of the rest. I would make Polumbus my swing reserve tackle for one more year and hope to replace him next year.

Polumbus is awful he gave up sack after sack

Actually, he wasn't. He's by no means a stud and he does need to be replaced as a starter, but he was no where near the worst tackle last year. Look up the rankings. He also didnt give up as many sacks as many of your think. He would make a very serviceable replacement for another year and his contract is not that bad.

I would sign Rodger Saffold for Right Tackle and Jon Asamoah for Right Guard that would be the start of one hell of a offensive line

Polumbus was not bad last season. I love how people like to make that claim. The pressure the hurt us last season came from inside because our OL have no idea how to pick up a stunt.


If you sign Saffold and Asamoah, you aren't singing much else. Saffold is not that good either.

There are multiple Right Tackles we need to go after as for Jon Asamoah I hope we land him

We are at 18.6 million with the cap but if we cut Carriker,Bowen,Chester and Polumbus that will free up another 10 million

No the problem is that people are so hung up on the terms elite and game changer that terms like quality and solid are just not good enough. The fact that people would take an injury prone game changer over a solid player who manages to stay on the field for 16 games a year speaks volumes.

Again every one is so hung up on what these guys are getting paid in reference to other players and ignoring the fact that yes we could pay less for new players. But the odds are the guy we paid less for in most cases will be just that.. less of a player. But by all means, we should go out and bring in some play makers because that has worked out so well for us the past 15 or so years.
