I seriously think the future is bright for Texas A&M if they keep their coaching staff together. Spavital isn't a bad coordinator, he just didn't fit what Sumlin wanted to do and struggled to implement a balanced offense. Chavis is Chavis. You combine him and their current more balanced offense and you've got a winning combination. Jim Turner was a huge hire. Maybe bigger than swapping out Spavital for Mazzone. You can go a long way with a lock down D, offense that doesn't turn the ball over, and an OL that can run block. As long as they can pass when they need to. Which obviously they can. I'm not crowning them on Bama's level yet, but I think they can play with Bama and Ole Miss.

Hard thing is figuring out what level Ole Miss is on. For 2 years they have played halves and occasionally a complete game where they look like the best team in the country. Then they throw in disaster games and halves. Probably hardest team to figure out in the country

I still think Ole Miss is the 2nd best team in the SEC right now. Losing to Bama and FSU isn't anything to be ashamed of. They played well in both games overall. Even though they collapsed in the 2nd halves.

True, I'm just giving them a break. Florida St and Alabama coaching staffs are known for 2nd half adjustments. Probably best in the business. I don't think Freeze is that kind of coach. He runs his system. He's not a change the game plan kind of guy.

I just think they are fragile. Killers when things are going well. A bad break goes against them and they spiral. They will be fine. The west is probably as bad as I have seen it in a long time. More specifically OLs in the West haven't impressed. So used to seeing LSU, Auburn, and Ark being able to just pound people into submission. Ark is a better passing team, than running this year. That is dogs sleeping with cats type stuff
