Back in '78 he played - briefly - for the Indianapolis Racers of the WHL

Though all of the team name/league affiliation changes in Indy down through the years, you could usually count on seeing a Racers/Gretzky jersey or two at the games.

I even saw a guy wearing one at a Komets game this season.
