Jackets are going for 6 in a row. Brandon Dubinsky is rumo(u)red to be bummed because Crosby is out sick. He's just going to have to hound Malkin. He allegedly signed his contract extension with the words "Kill Crosby".

Columbus Blue Jackets - Game Day Hub: CBJ-PIT - Columbus Blue Jackets - News

Two really good signs for the Jackets, Ryan Murray and Fedor Tyutin took part in the skate this morning at Nationwide. Tyutin is ready to go, but will likely not make his return until Tuesday against Detroit. This is great news because with them back, the Jackets are considerably closer to trading Tim Erixon.

Kerby Rychel slots into the third line with Foligno and Gibbons. But that won't last long. He'll be with Jenner before long. Those two play well together. I expect Skille to go with Foligno and Gibby.

Pens did not have a skate this morning.

Kevin Connauton is riding a two game goal streak.

I am not hopeful that the 6th in a row will happen.

The answer to the question of who Dubi was going to pester now...

everyone.

Good, old fashioned Barn Burner in downtown Columbus tonight. Jackets get on the board first. Foligno with his 14th on the year.

His career high is 18. Last year.

Somebody always seems to exceed it every day so I'm sure this won't be the worst when all set and done, but it's still bad

Still, it would take quite a feat to get to Steiggy level.

One hell of a snipe. He had about 4 square inches to hit and he went right through the middle of it.

When did "Charging" become defined as "covering a distance of more than 16 inches to hit a Penguin?"

That would be in 2005.

Yep. Let's hope the Jackets keep the shots under 40.
I was going to respond to this saying "and let's hope the Pens don't allow any shots in the last 5 min of the game"...but when I realized MAF wasn't in net, I didn't post it.

Possibly the worst embellishment call I've ever seen. God awful.

Almost as bad as the tripping call that immediately preceded it.

It also seems clear that the Penguin players have never met a call they didn't disagree with. Someone, not sure who, bitched about an offside. On ice mics picked it up. lol

OH MY GOD TANGER

He had one hell of a game. I just felt he was going to tie it. As soon as the puck went wide on icing, I thought. "Welp... OT"

Hard to believe, but that is six wins in a row.

Ryan Johansen just said (of his shootout goal - which was FILTHY) " I really didn't know what I was doing. I wanted to go backhand, but he moved. So I had to do something else."
