Also the pick has no shot of happening without the contact.
So many flaws when it comes to refereeing the game. There are instances where the ball would fly well over the receiver's head which many would deem "uncatchable" and a defensive PI is called. That ball, while it was intercepted, was hard to actually call it "un-catchable."
Now we are proving we can win the close ones.
Great game Pats, you hung 20 points on Carolina's D. Only 1 other team this season can claim that. I started having flashbacks to the 2003 SB. Great game, this is why we are fans.
There should be a lot of shaming....That was absolute robbery. Pats should've had one more play at the 1 yard.
He bear hugged Gronk before the ball got there
That play at the end of the game was uncatchable - Gronk never got open enough to be even considered a catchable ball
Gronkowski was 5 yards away. ok maybe I'm a little biased.
That was blatant PI but they won't call that against the home team to end the game. That's just the way it goes in professional sports.

The thing that makes me sick is they actually threw the flag only to let the crowd get to him and pickup the flag. I prefer them not throw the flag at all instead of throwing it and allowing the fans and other refs to scare you into not calling it.
Since when can you restrict a receiver from going back to the ball when the ball is in the air? When was this rule created?
Being open is irrelevant. If he had a chance to to touch it with no contact it's not uncatchable.
