I think I’d have preferred Bryant in LF and Lamonte at 1B, but in Kap we trust.
I think the defense is superior with KB at 1B. He's a better infielder

Kapler says all things considered, a “rangy” Bryant at 1B and Wade Jr. in the OF gives the Giants the best defensive lineup.

  9. A Wood (R) P
I was thinking they'd move KB to 1b. This gives us our optimum D with Belt out. All LH OF.

Let's hope Longo wakes up; probably not vs Scherzer tho.

Phuk those guys. 4-2 good guys.
KB’s first game at first as a Giant.

I like the idea of him at 1st in theory, but I am a bit apprehensive since he hasn’t played there in forever.

Billy Beane loves the idea. Ron Washington, not so much.

@calsnowskier

The Brewers have scored 2 runs in 3 games vs Atlanta. Is it the pitching of the Braves? Like I said, you gotta be able to hit at least some.

Keep in mind, Scherzer got rocked in his last two regular season starts, then went only 4.1 innings in the playoff win against STL.

There may be some issues going on there. Dude is 37 years old.

Not a 100% factor. Also, SSS. The Braves have good pitching. Probably better than ours.

basically, just because the Brewers might not win this year does not mean I was wrong to pick them.

True. If I wasn’t a Giants fan and I had money on it, I’d have bet wrong in 2010, 2012 and 2014 lol. Maybe I might have learned my lesson for 2014 and changed my bet, but I’d have been scared.

I never said that, we both know it's pretty random. But I had a hunch they'd have a problem scoring runs

sure have to hope it continues to happen ... prior to those last three starts he was just about unhittable.
we have to get to him early and hope that Wood can hold for at least 5 innings.
IMHO this is going to be a very tough climb for us tonight. I think we will need 5 runs to pull it off. I just dont't see the doggies going quietly at all ... I'd settle for a split here and then back home and back to Webb!
