Giants bust out the BIG GUNS and blow Pittsburgh away 8-0 in Wild Card Playoff
Tonight in Pittsburgh the Giants pulled out the BIG GUNS and the biggest of them all was Madison Bumgarner. Bum was on from the time he brushed his teeth this morning. His masterpiece shutout over a hot Pittsburgh team had fans screaming and going nutz up and down the California coast. Bum had the look of the Terminator in his eyes and he would not be denied. He only gave up 4 hits and 1 walk. His 10 strikeouts were impressive and there never was a moment in the game when it was in doubt. Supreme cool and confidence and he is the player of the biggest game of the year so far.
On offense the biggest hit of the night came from the man they call Craw. Brandon Crawford launched a GRAND SLAM into the second row of the right field stands 362 feet away in the 4th inning and like Posey did in Cincinnati in 2012 Division Round the Pittsburgh crowd went completely silent. With a 4-0 lead you could feel the Giants get real loose but totally focused at the save time. No one celebrated early especially with what happened in KC last night to the A's. The Giants added on and boy oh boy did they put it on the Pirates. The Giants added on three straight innings (6th,7th,and 8th) to go up 8-0 led by Belt who had 2 hits and 3 RBI's.
The whole team contributed including Posey who had a RBI. Panik the kid in his first taste of the Playoffs had 3 hits and Panda added a very patient 2 hits , a walk and 2 runs scored. Pence added a super speedy 2 runs scored. I thought this was the best played overall game by the boys all year and it came at just the right moment in the 2014 season. On this October 1st , 2014 the Killer B's (Bum, and the 2 Brandon's) pulled out the BIG GUNS and blew away all of Pittsburgh. Chicken/Waffles and Beer for everyone and can someone save me a few juicy breasts for Washington D.C. Friday. The boys did S.F. proud in yet another elimination game. Hey what did you expect ...the Giants OWN October. It's time to head to Washington D.C. for another tough matchup with a Matt Williams coached team. Tonight...Tonight...PARTY ON !!

We're definitely underdogs, but we've got a lot of guys who have a good postseason history, so I'm as confident in this team as any other postseason team we've had. We're not loaded with big time sluggers, but one thing you can say about our lineup is that there are really no holes or easy outs. And of course, our pitching is very good and Bochy is an excellent manager.
