Yes, a Sens fan page, but the linked article it quotes is from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and clearly says that Walkom coached Lemieux's daughter.



How in the blue fuck did he wind up in a playoff game featuring the Pens? No idea if he's shady or not, but jesus... They should not even put him in the position to be questioned. NO ONE actively involved in the hockey scene in ANY city should be allowed to ref a game featuring a team from that same city. Especially not in the playoffs.

I'm not really surprised. Whatever the reason, the refs have been very one-sided in this series.

I don't think Walkom would intentionally play favourites but, like you said, he shouldn't have got the chance.

Performance needs to be more closely monitored. There is no excuse for some of the calls in this series.
