No, it is more like saying Draymond Green is as important as Steph Curry.

I don’t believe it in this case, but you are drastically under valuing Smart.
But draymond is a playoff alpha. I don't see that with smart at all.

Tatum is a 2 way player though, curry is not. Tatum can defend just as good as smart.

I can see sticking with Jayson or Jaylen if their struggling.

If Marcus Smart is struggling, PULL HIS ASS. I don't give a damn about his media defense role player award, he's just a role player at the end of the day. Don't play him 40 minutes and shoot you in the damn foot. Come on rookie coach, get it together. Especially with White always constantly outplaying him.

Smart your job is to be the point guard and hit wide open threes. I don't want to see you ever creating for yourself because you're just not good\consistent enough at it, especially in these kind of games.

Horford you're technically the biggest choker in NBA history. Most playoff games without a finals performance, motherf*cker you need to step up. Only Chris Paul challenges you for bigger choker and he at least made a finals. Choking when their is no pressure on you is just inexcusable.

Good news is Tatum averages 33PPG after a loss these playoffs and celtics win by a +17 margin
Marcus Smart is a proven player in this league. In a league full of guys with quirks, problems and effort issues, I’ll live and die with a guy like that.

Tatum is a 2 way player, Curry is not.

But at his peak, Curry was arguably the best offensive player in the entire league.

Tatum is not in that conversation.

It seems as though multiple people on here have either said or insinuated it.

Both teams are elite defensively and inconsistent offensively. That creates a game with a wide range of outcomes and no clear cut favorite, IMO.
I’ll own it. My comment was “I can’t see the Heat losing 3 home playoff games”. I think the momentum flips when a team wins game 6 and comes home for a game 7. In my eyes, it comes down to Jimmy Butler. If he gives them 35+ I think they have a great chance to win. I think role players are better at home.

Tyler Herro could be the difference maker or he could completely blow the game. Hard to predict with him as he has been inconsistent and poor defender.

A bad defender with a bad groin should be relentlessly attacked

Draymond in 2016 was warriors VORP leader. He also had a 30 point triple double in game 7 finals.

He's one of those guys that get better in playoffs, its rare. Kawhi is the same. Butler a few seasons has been the same.

Smart though like more players then not has regressed in playoffs. Hopefully it turns around today though

He just needs to take less shots, like Draymond, but he still is the best defensive player for Boston. He needs to play big minutes and he will. He is an X-Factor. We all know what Tatum and Brown can do
