Poole was at least in the vicinity of the ball with his swipe. Pritchard was clearly trying to take Butler down.

Seems like a flagrant 1 to me.

Not buying intent to injure though. Just a non-basketball play to prevent Butler from scoring.

This is the new media spin since the game last night to discredit miami

I came across at least 10 verified accounts since the game last night using this spin to take credit away from miami as always. First time i see the media invested so much in which team is winning quarters

Kinda hard for people to say there isnt some sort of delusional bias towards the Celtics when there are tweets like this..


Tied qtrs now get credited as wins for the Cs and losses for the Heat. Pretty incredible that in 2022 people cant correctly take 2 minutes too look shit up. Hell as someone who watched the game I immediately knew the two teams tied a qtr last night. Not hard.

I'm even willing to call it a Clear Path foul, although I believe those are reserved for fast breaks.

There cant be any one on defense in front of the guy with the ball, which in that case there were loads of guys around the hoop so clear path wouldnt of worked as a call.

Personally I wish they'd ban all intentional fouls, even at the end of the game that makes the last 2 minutes take 15 minutes.

I know it would be hard to manage because it then becomes a refs judgment, and they don’t always have the best judgement.

Reckless and it was technically a non-basketball play so it probably should have been a flagrant 1...but definitely didnt seem dirty.

If he was trying to intentionally foul him, you could even make a case that it was a basketball play. Especially in the playoffs.
