Giants offense is stuck/

McCray singles with one out in the 5th.

Why not allow him to steal? The Padres' catcher has thrown out only 12 of 41 baserunners all season.

But no. Yaz K's and Ramos flies out. And McCray, with all his speed, is stuck at 1st.

And here are the Padres, with two singles and the runner going 1st to 3rd. Thing of beauty that is. But the Giants cannot/will not do such an amazing feat. Why not?

I have a very hard time ever giving the opposing pitcher credit against the Giants. The other guy may actually be having a great night, but how would anyone ever know? He isn't being challenged.

I haven't looked it up but I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants' offense is dead last in many categories for the past two months.
