I'm actually fine with the pitching match ups currently scheduled (assuming no rain outs in the games leading up to the series).

Montgomery v Pomeranz
CC vs Sale
Gray vs Fister

I think this series can go either way.

Pomeranz due for a letdown
Sale SHOULD be a win
Fister - Loss - Gives up at least 5

Oh well, I'll be there Saturday! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!

The longest strikeout streak in history for anyone that I can find is 37 games, for Bill Stoneman between April 30, 1971 and April 21, 1972.:suds:

He can break it next tuesday vs kitty kats:suds:

this is for hammer:suds:

One last fun fact: Tony Gwynn's longest-ever strikeout streak was four games. He did that once, in 1986. He got up to three consecutive games six times. During that streak in 1986, he struck out against Mario Soto, Tom Browning, Bob Welch, and Rick Honeycutt. Welch actually struck him out three times in a row. That was Gwynn's only three-strikeout game. He would strike out against Welch just one other time in his life, despite 50 head-to-head showdowns. Tony Gwynn was nothing short of absurd.

He is getting his walks. More now than ever actually. Had 18 walks in July but already with 11 walks halfway into August.

Considering they rarely throw him a strike, his walk total would be insane if he didnt expand the zone like he has since the ASB

Sweep the twins for me. Thanks

That'd be great.

The starting pitching is on a pretty sick run. Over the last eleven games, they combine for 7.18 IP/GS, 11.7 K/9, 5.42 K/BB, 0.924 WHIP, and 1.94 ERA.

That K rate is absurd. Four different starters have fanned 10+ in five of those eleven games.

Matches will be:
Salazar vs Colon
Carrasco vs Gibson
Clevinger vs Berrios

According to FiveThirtyFive.com, Indians have a 57% chance of winning game 1, 58% of game 2 and 55% of game three.

Bauer seems like the guy that has found himself and has lengthened the strength of that rotation

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Tigers are discussing a possible Justin Verlander trade with the Astros.:suds:

He's streaky. He can be brilliant for a game or three, then lay a huge steaming pile of shit right on the pitching rubber.

I feel the same way about Salazar but with more talent.

Right now they're all clicking and with Miller on the shelf, the timing couldn't be better. He's supposed to be back this weekend - hopefully healthy. A rotation averaging 7+ innings for nearly two weeks can do a lot to freshen up a bullpen.

I'd like the Tribe to turn it up to eleven this week and bury the Twins and Royals for good.

I think they are heading back to the WS

The Astros staff isn't built for the postseason IMO
