barry bonds says he wishes he kept playing. he could have and should have. he says he would have cleared 800 HR.

Here's Another Hit, Barry Bonds

Barry Bonds finished with 762 career home runs, 38 short of the 800 he thinks he could've hit had he played one more year at age 43. Here's a look at the best home run seasons by a player age 40 or older.

PLAYER, YEAR HRS
David Ortiz, 2016 38
Raul Ibanez, 2013 29
Ted Williams, 1960 29
Barry Bonds, 2007 28

Along with Trout's HR yesterday, Harper - who may be forever compared to Trout - also hit a notable HR yesterday.

Harper hit his 150th HR yesterday. He was 24 years and 295 days old, which according to MLB.com is the exact same age as Trout was when he hit his 150th HR.

In addition to Trout's 1,000th hit, he also hit a dinger. He's now homered in four of six games that he's played on his birthday.

Pitchers giving him happy birthday meatballs?

Houston, as a team, is hitting .301 since the All-Star Break.

In Trout's last 162 games, he has gone 0-fer with 0 walks and 0 HBP just 12 times.

Would you rather play Houston or Cleveland in the ALDS?

Houston because Cleveland owns Chris Sale

@SlinkyRedfoot :suds:

For me it is close. Both Keuchel and Kluber own the Yankees

From 2014-2016, Kluber went 3-0 vs the Yanks with an era of 0.82. Does not include his complete game from Thursday night.

Keuchel is 3-2 vs the yanks with an era of 1.63 from 2014-2016. Does not include his 6 IP and 0 ER start from earlier this year
