Crawford - ss
Sandoval - 3b
Pence - rf

Hernandez - cf
Stratton - sp

This lineup would be a lot better if someone else was playing right field.

And Stratton isn't taking long to self destruct. Has he been told he is holding the 5th spot in the rotation?

Pence, really? What about Slater. Come on Boch, get with the program
He went hitless last night. Slater should count himself lucky he isn't in Salem right now and still with the big league club.

On the bright side, that was the first walk issued by Stratton.

Stratton is the one getting sent down for Samardzija, yes? (and Pierce Johnson for Cueto)?

It would be interesting why, when the team is down by 3 runs and there are two runners on, would Stratton pitch to Arenado, when he already had a hit, instead of pitching around him like Moronta did last night?

You know, I don't mind giving up a lot of runs at Williamsport, I expect it.

What I DO mind is hitting like a bunch of, well, whatever. Three hits tonight in six innings? Thats. Just. Awful.

(And once again, no walks. :L)

Tony Wolters must be kicking himself. Only non-pitcher in their lineup without a hit off Stratton.

How does that saying go about dogs and their spots?

Edit : and .500 isn't getting very far away.

Rox pitcher comes into the game sporting a nifty 6.23 ERA, and all he does is toss zeroes at the Giants. At Coors. (sigh)

And Johnson allows his inherited runner to score (adding insult to injury)
Johnson heard from another guy that allowing inherited runners to score is a sure fire way to stay on the team. The other guy just neglected to tell him not to allow his own runners to score too.
