JCP was fun to watch. Couldn’t hit (which is weird since he was drafted as a power hitting OF out of JC), but he had a fun glove (game 7 not withstanding)

I was talking with a reputable scout not too long ago and he said that the JC level is rampant with steroid use and inflated numbers.

Wouldn’t be shocked. He was a good friend and teammate of the kid who got booted from the LLWS for being too old.

And when you set JC HR records then convert to a light hitting speedy defensive OFer in the pros, something is “off”...

Kruk talked about this very topic a few months ago. He confirmed that that mentality exists and when it gets into a bully, it is a cancer that is hard to get rid of. And it causes real strife.

He wasn’t stating that it exists ON THIS TEAM.

He just said that it does happen from time to time, and he has been on teams with that in play.
