I thought for sure that Osich's career with the Giants was just about over. Now I'm certain the next time he's demoted, he's done. He might get DFA'd here soon. If the Giants need a lefty in an emergency, Manny Parra is still around

I think I have been one of the most positive on him here, and even my comments have intended to be with some pretty major caveats.

I think the highest praise I gave him was I could see him having a Guillermo Mota type of impact as opposed to Billy Salder type of impact (I'm talking about just the Giants here, not Mota's other 11 seasons), and like Cal I think I've generally supported him.

The bar isn't that high
Okay, so maybe I've read too much into the comments you all have made about him. What triggered my post was the praise that Affeldt and Flemming were heaping on him.

I like him, but currently in a mop-up, occasional emergency high pressure situation. Hard for “that” guy to be “overrated”.

Not making a field goal in the last 3:17 didn’t help.

They eased up after that big 3rd qtr. gave them a 10-pt. lead heading into the 4th, which has happened too many times this season. They got burned badly by that tonight, and it could end up coming back to cost them the series. The 4th qtr. was a complete joke and an embarrassment.

Lopez is too bland (though he is smart) and JA is too hyper. I don’t think either are future HOF announcers.

Yeah I like Lopez's analysis, but he could use a bit of energy I agree. I do like him as a change of pace from Krukm though

I am getting a bit burnt out by K&K (especially Kruk). Kuip gets too excited to make a HR call that he makes a fool of himself too often and Kruk tows the company line too much.

Nit picking, of course. But no one is perfect...

Due to the Warriors disgusting 12-pt. 4th qtr. to give that game away. Talent and complacency are a bad combination.
I was at the game. Complete shitshow of awful D and iso offense. Just awful.

That aside, the 18 Giants are, as the kids say, a tough hang. They are exactly the opposite of the type of team I like to watch: awful SP, good hitting, spotty D. Only the bullpen is (generally) a joy to watch.

I don't know if this changes when Bum and Cueto get back, but I hope so.

The bully is elite. They just are forced to carry too much for this team due to the craptastic starting pitching.

Hopefully, the Giants can stay close to .500 until Bumgarner and Cueto come off of the DL. They have done a good job of hanging tough so far.

Oh I agree. I'm okay with Kuip, his old school ideals show off sometimes and, as you say, he's losing his touch on deep fly balls, but he's just the voice of the Giants for me. Kruk I'm not as attached too but it could be way worse.
