This is a pretty massive spot. If he comes out of this unscathed, I'd be extremely impressed.

Flemming is probably the biggest homer of the four Giants' core announcers. Affeldt is straight up a Giants' mouthpiece.

People on here have been referring to him as a decent looking reliever and the announcers were talking about how his numbers don't tell him much he's really getting it done and how Bochy seems to really trust him.

Remember when Osich was good? I really wanted him to be the next LOOGY in the bullpen. Now, I wonder how much longer is he going to be on the 40 man roster.

I think I have been one of the most positive on him here, and even my comments have intended to be with some pretty major caveats.

I think the highest praise I gave him was I could see him having a Guillermo Mota type of impact as opposed to Billy Salder type of impact (I'm talking about just the Giants here, not Mota's other 11 seasons), and like Cal I think I've generally supported him.
