Yes, 4-1.

Remember, these comments are from Yankees fans. If they don't win the World Series every game they play, they failed.

"its a race, not a sprint"

Yankee fans are smart enough to realize that last August and September, when the Yankees lead in the AL East dwindled and eventually dissapeared, the #1 reason was because important cogs on the team were completely gassed due to overuse by the manager....That team had nothing left in the tank as October approached......

So yeah, watching the same trend is frustrating

And dont get me wrong, there will be nights, many consecutively that you have to rely on those 3 guys in the pen

But when one pitcher is hooked after 6, after retiring 18 straight, with a one hitter and 83 pitches

And the next night, a pitcher is hooked when he is absolutely cruising with 62 pitches after 6

And by the way, being 4 games under .500

Yeah, time for a little talk with the guy calling the shots

That's all well and good, but you're gonna have to wait until July for the Chief to feed your boys his dick.

Dodgers have opted for a six-man rotation.

They're saying it's because they're in a stretch of playing twenty games in as many days, and that it's just a one-off, one time spin through a 6-man.

We'll see. I've read that Maeda's still adjusting to a 5-man rotation (starters typically only go once a week in China), so I suspect that has something to do with the decision, as plenty of teams play 20 in 20 and don't throw an extra starter in the mix. We'll see if it's really just a one-off.

Took my son to the game last night, where he learned how to dogpile on a losing starting pitcher when he's down.

Good times in Queens.

On the plus side, we got to cheer for the Nationals' clean-up hitter when he drove in the winning run with a first-inning homer.

Padres have played 42 games. 9 times they've been shutout, 6 times they've scored 1 run, 5 games of 2 runs scored. 20 of 42 games they can't score more than 2 runs. :trash:

You wanna be the Mets? If they don't homer, they cant score. It's like I'm watching the 70's Orioles

The Mets? Who have great young pitching in DeGrom, Thor, Matz, and maybe Harvey? Who might struggle to drive in runs on singles and doubles but are 3rd in HR's as compared to the Padres 28th ranked HR total? Who are actually over .500 and still postseason contenders? Yeah, I'd rather be the Mets.

2 of those games including one of the 9 shutouts came against the Brew Crew. Guerra has pitched well in his last couple of starts and Jimmy Nelson is solid, they might want to trade guys like Braun and Lucroy to get big returns and speed up the rebuild.
