I saw the post-game interview with Terry Collins on SportsCenter this AM. He was asked what needs to be done to help Harvey and (I'm paraphrasing) he said:

We need to get him some confidence one way or another. I'm not sure how to do that, but he needs some confidence.

Then he was asked if Harvey would still be the starter on Tuesday vs the Nationals:

Yeah... Well... About that... We have to wait and see about this and that.




Hey, Terry, remember when you were talking about finding a way to get Harvey some confidence? You know, a question ago? Yeah, well, that answer is decidedly NOT how you get him some confidence.

That said, Matt Harvey is particularly douchey. Watching him struggle does not hurt my heart.

In that same interview, he referencing having to really overwork last season coming back from his surgery, and than talking about the Blood Clot he had earlier this year

Either way, there is no doubt about it, he will be placed on the 15 day DL any minute now

They won but that defeats the purpose. He took out Eovaldi on Wednesday after he retired 18 straight and only threw 85 pitches through 6. Last night Nova allowed 4 hits through 6 on 62 pitches. Now more than likely both Betances and Miller will likely be unavailable. If he managed the game correctly then at least Betances would be available tonight

So you would be fine with your manager replacing a starter who allowed 1 hit through 6 on 85 pitches and retired 18 in a row? Or how about replacing a starter who allowed 4 hits and 1 run on 62 pitches through 6.

Honestly with the way Eovaldi was pitching, he could have gave us 8 and Nova could have gave us 7
