The Mariners claimed outfielder Jacob Hurtubise off waivers from the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday and optioned him to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers. He was designated for assignment by the Reds on June 14.

Was it after the draft last year they promoted all of the Modesto guys to Everett? It seems really dumb they haven’t moved most of Everett to Arkansas.
To me that’s a sign of Jerry isn’t going to trade them at the deadline. It makes sense to keep Harry in AAA and playing catcher nearly everyday to keep his trade value up, but keeping all of your high A guys there, to me seems the opposite. If the Mariners were to trade Kirby for a few high A players, regardless of their ranking would you be satisfied? Personally I’d want guys closer to the big leagues or one top high A guy then someone like Brash
