They were not the favorite at all.

This is a lie

Everyone and their momma (including blazers fans) expected OKC to win.

Not only did your shitty team not win but they only won 1 game lmaooo

Im sorry how many playoff games did the heat win?

OKC are 3-8 in the playoffs with Russ & PG-13.

Let that sink in

Hey, we took GS to 4 games!!

I knew we'd lose the series, but giving up 17 point leads in 3 games is hard to take. And t wasn't the refs or poor shooting. It was GS.

And it makes it looks worse when you lose to this Portland team that GS swept. I think most of us said it was a head scratcher when PG signed long-term with OKC instead of the Lakers, Clippers, any other team. He is regretting it right now but it's not like he didn't know this beforehand

Well I would say poor shooting had to do with it too. CJ and Lillard didn't play up to expectations overall but especially in the 2nd halves. Of course GS played better defense but this isn't getting it done:

Game 1: outscored by 13 in the 2nd half. CJ and Dame 11-31
Game 2: by 18 in the 2nd half. CJ and Dame 15-39
Game 3: by 24 in the 2nd half. CJ and Dame 12-38
Game 4: by 6 in the 2nd half

Portland put themselves in position to win 3 games and CJ and Dame did not play good overall.

I think GS simply defended them well. GS defends the perimeter well and makes it hell for people to drive. Personal opinion, but GS is easily in the top 5 teams in history.

Well, that would certainly would be a good thing for the Warriors if no one wants to offer him much money, but even with just limited interest from other teams, I'm guessing that the Warriors would need to go over the cap to re-sign him.

Warriors can go over the cap to sign him which means bringing him back is a real possibility. But also Looney has to 1) agree to financial compensation he believes he's entitled to 2) agree to come back to the Warriors and 3) agree to accept whatever role the Warriors envision for him.

The Warriors may want to continually use Looney in a super sub role as a big off the bench. Or they could move him in the starting role as a center. Would Looney be ok being a reserve? Also the Warriors are going to be over the cap for a while which means Looney's salary isn't just his base, but it's base with the tax implications. So the Warriors would be paying exponentially more for Looney than another team not over the cap.

I want Looney back, but saying he will be back as a foregone conclusion assumes a lot of things go right for the Warriors again. Looney should have been gone from the Warriors this past season but I couldn't understand why no other team offered him more. This off-season he'll definitely be one of the hotter commodities after probably the top 2 tiers of players are off the board.

I think more so than anything Kanter was a huge factor in both the Thunder and Nuggets series, but he was nullified because he couldn't guard against the Warriors back-court. It's basically matchups more than anything.

I think a healthy Nurkic changes the series, but not the ultimate result. Without a big in there like Nurkic or Kanter to post score, it means team can gun even harder for Dame and CJ, which the Warriors did.

I agree. Only thing that would POSSIBLY change the result is not only a healthy Nurk but also better SF/PF combination
