Another wild card. Gavrikov has been in the KHL for 3 years and has been solid. He's also 6'4" and 220.

Scouting report puts him potentially a top 4 D man.

Without any trades and with only signing Dzingel and Duchene and the lineup next year could be:
Bjorkstrand - Dubois - Atkinson
Anderson - Duchene - Dzingel
Texier - Foligno - Bemstrom
Jenner - Sedlak - Nash

Wennberg, Dubinsky, Hannakeinen, Robinson and possibly Foudy in reserve.

Jones - Werenski
Murray - Nutivaara
Gavrikov - Savard
Peeke - Kukan

And if they can hold onto McQuaid...

Elvis
Korpisalo

I would not at all be opposed to keeping Kincaid and letting Korpi go.

Korpisalo, Wennberg, Kukan, Hannakeinen, Sedlak and Milano in a package could land either one more stud (Nuge) or re-stock those empty draft cupboards.

He can't play can he?

Yes, he can. He just signed his ELC. It's being treated the same as the College guys coming up. He isn't eligible for the AHL playoffs because he wasn't on the roster on the cutoff date (so no point in sending him down). Kind of a break that the same rule doesn't apply to the NHL roster, but it's how we have Texier with the big club too, he came from Finnish pro league.

The part that sucks is if Texier plays 3 more games, we have to protect him in expansion. We're gonna something very valuable to Seattle. Unless we do the same thing we did with Vegas. In which case we will only lose something ordinarily valuable.

Peeke, Merzlikins, Gavrikov and Texier are all killing a year of ELC right now.

Do they burn if they are scratched?

I believe so. Elvis signed a one year deal and the big news about that is he is an RFA on July 1, basically he is jumping right to the bridge contract, and his deal was one way. So he can't go to the AHL without clearing waivers. It doesn't matter if he gets in a game or not. So I assume it's the same for everyone. They have contracts this season.

Think any of our home games could be Friday or Saturday next weekend? Have a wedding up in Toledo that's taking up my Friday and Saturday night, so I'm crossing my fingers

Awesome! I probably wouldn't have went even if I had the day off (beautiful day out), but nice to see.

My wife and a few of her friends went (with kids). Said it was crazy. One of her friends has been a STH since day 1 and my wife said she remembers regular season games without this many people or that much noise.

ZachSki mutilates Kinkaid in the shootout today. Kinky responds by throwing his stick at him.

By all accounts the players were having a blast. Panarin was first out and was shouting and waving his arms like a madman to get the crown pumped up.

Nationwide Corporate offices with some window shade wizardry. Says it on both sides of that building. the other side is right over the plaza in front of the Arena.

Fun fact, I used to work in that purple triangle topped building to the left 9 years ago.

I thought Wennberg and Milano would contribute this year, I think it's time to move on from them like you said

Milano got off to a poor start and Bjorkstrand really took a big step forward. Then Milano pouted and Texier got here sooner than expected. Mistake by Sonny.

Not sure what Wenny's deal is. Don't know if it's lingering effects from the concussion he got from Wilson last year or he just really misses William Karlsson. Time to cut bait and move on.

Also, apparently there is an issue with Gavrikov's visa. He was not allowed to skate with the team yesterday and might have had to stay back in Columbus to sort it out. Looking doubtful for this series. Now, this is per Portzline, so he may very well play tonight.

Nutivaara traveled with the team. Murray and McQuaid did not.

Heard Nuti could go, but they want him to get a little more practice time in before inserting him in the line. I thought I heard that... Not sure exactly why that would be, though.

But yeah, probably won't get much in return, but maybe we could trade Wenny to Vegas. I'm sure his buddy would put in a good word for him out there.
