congrats on the deal. I think the Clippers were aiming higher than Harris to spend their money on in free agency, and you get a GREAT asset in a totally unprotected Miami pick in 2021-- to have a totally unprotected pick is just ludicrous in todays NBA.

You have to wait a while for the assets, besides Shamet- and giving up Boban is kind of a bummer since he had showed that he has some potential, but a nice haul of assets

this legitmiately puts them in the Davis conversation if you ask me. They could absolutely build a deal around SGA and the Miami pick now.

Trade for Davis, sign Kawhi? That has to be their goal, or something close to it i would imagine.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than just getting the 7 or 8 seed.

Exchange of prospects, Pistons get to avoid making a decision on extending Johnson (RFA next year, Thon the year after). Buys an extra year of control of a prospect. Milwaukee moves Maker, who had fallen out of the regular rotation and was complaining, gets a backup for Middleton.

Its a pretty damn good core 4. Its no Curry, Klay, Durant, Dray... but it beats any other top-4 out there.

If JJ walks in the off-season(not saying he will but it's a scenario). The sixers starting 5 could be:

Embiid
Simmons
Harris
Butler
Zhaire Smith(or JJ)

Hell of a starting 5.

Hopefully TJ, Mike Scott, Korkmaz, a competent Fultz, Boban off the bench.

Lakers fans

did the team quit on LeBron last night?

I have read a lot of that today- and it sure seems liek it.

Pacers coming off a road/home back to back---Lakers were waiting for them and had not played in a couple days. Pacers without Oladipo-

and LeBron suffers the worst loss of his entire career.

the chanting of the crowd.

this was always going to be an issue going with a roster with so many young guys and guys on expiring contracts that are viewed as trade pieces. There just seemed to be little to no trust right now on that team.

seems like a dearth of shooting.

its awesome- dont get me wrong- but where does the spacing come from? Butler and Embiid?

You do realize it is not a lock that both Butler/Harris resigns right?

Bill Simmons had an interesting post saying that instead of Harris the Sixers should have targeted Jrue holliday- and I tend to agree.---fit wise it seems like it would have been better

Gotta get rid of Fultz to afford the 4 stars but otherwise yes they can be really good

If they re-sign both, they could have 100M tied up in four players once Simmons gets his extension.

Pels said they weren't interested in moving Jrue though. Maybe they did make that call?

Harris is a capable 3 point shooter. Smith shot 45% from 3 in college(not a large sample size, but still) and I'm sure we'd be able to find a stretch 4.

I don't see it as them quitting on LeBron, just a tough adjustment game (just LeBron's 2nd game in 6 weeks) coming on the road against a solid team that is among the bes in the league at capitalizing on the other teams mistakes. Then, yeah, you add on top of that all of the uncertainty surrounding the trade deadline and this is the result.
