Alright, didn’t know where Tulane fell on the spectrum.

They're rated 105 in Massey Composite. Not the worst but in that bottom tier.

TCU will probably end up around 7-5. Most likely will beat Baylor, Kansas, and K-State, probably will beat Tech and Iowa Sate, which are both coming to Dallas

Yeah I thought that's probably what they'd be before the year. I can't see them beating WVU or OU. And the tech, Oklahoma State and Iowa State games are probably toss ups.

They've probably played 3 of the worst tbh.
..and while they aren't one of the worst, me thinks TCU ain't going to end up being as good as anticipated.

My thoughts too. LSU plays Georgia and Florida plus we played Miami.

Who exactly does Bama play that puts their strength of schedule higher?
Apparently it’s only about who they already played and I guess LA Tech and SE Louisiana dragged you down. While Bama only played Arkansas State for the truly horrible schools so far.

Ohio State playing two of the worst college football teams would drag anyone’s SoS down.

It isnt but nothing you can do. Rutgers sucks but gotta play them. Oregon St was scheduled way ahead, still better than scheduling FCS teams definitely even if it brings down SOS. Like the SEC scheduling FCS games as bye week before a rival game. While other conferences might play a bad FBS or FCS team they dont get to use it before a tough rival game late. There should be a penalty if you schedule a game like that late in the season lol

I never understood it, they play a pretty bad non-conference. Play the shit of the SEC west but 3 games boost it super high and citadel and two shit LA schools seem like they dont affect it lol. Makes zero sense

And if your opponent is doing the exact same thing, no advantage is gained.

Should Ohio State be penalized for playing a shitty team and using it as a bye before the Penn State game? Last year Ohio State played Illinois before Michigan while Michigan was playing Wisconsin, should the Buckeyes be penalized for that?

The reason Washington , Texas and MSU are all in the top 10 in SoS is because all 3 of them have lost . When you lose a game your SoS goes UP because your opponents now have a better record . It's the inherent flaw in SoS and why unbeaten teams generally always have worse SoS than 1 loss teams or 1 loss teams vs 2 loss teams or so on. The best SoS metrics take OUT the results of the team they're ranking and solely look at how that teams opponents performed vs other teams on their schedule .

2 teams could play each other and then the same 11 other teams . If one team goes 0-12 and the other 12-0 the team who went 0-12 will have a superior SoS by a wide margin

The answer is no.

I know this from experience as a principal. Parents and teachers want the school to have real strict discipline and punishment for all students...except their. Then, said discipline and punishment needs to be relaxed significantly.
